Some sorely needed updates

Howdy folks, I know I’ve been neglecting my own darn website for a while now, but I assure you there’s multiple reasons. As you may or may not be aware, I’m Vice President, Webmaster and Internet Marketer for Dark Regions Press. Well, I’ll tell you, it’s been keepin’ me pretty darn busy. However, I have not abandoned writing during these last few months, actually, quite the contrary! I started work on what was supposed to a short story entitled “Let’s Fortify This Plum Castle” which evolved into a long story, which evolved into a novelette, and now may be on track to evolving into a short novella. It’s been one of those projects where I finish a draft, feel satisfied for a couple days, come back to it and feel like it could be even better, thus extending it by another 3,000 words…

However, I haven’t worked on Fortify for about a month now, I’m letting it sit and have just recently finished the first draft of my long short story “Crepes and Barrels and Fermenting Corpses” which I’m pleased with and has taken my mind off Fortify enough for it to be fresh again when I come back to it some time within the next week.

Aside from writing I’ve been doing some diligent job hunting. I’ve got a couple potential web development jobs lined up, crossing my fingers they come through.

I’m planning on writing another entry in my ongoing epic poem “Rogue Divine” soon and adding another Spontaneous Nightmare to the website. I’m also currently in the planning stages for a new Vision, which I am happy to tell you should be my most elaborate Vision yet.

So in other words, no, I’m not dead, I’ve just been incredibly busy. Stick around folks, this ride ain’t over yet, some new thrills and chills coming your way soon.

For a while now I have been receiving blank e-mails in my inboxes. This means that the subject lines and message bodies were all blank. I assumed that these were spam bots or people just clicking send, however, it turns out it was actually a problem with my contact scripts through my server provider. I’ve now installed new contact scripts and tested them and things are now finally working.

This still angers me however, because I received dozens of e-mails that were probably all legitimate but could not read them. So please, if you’ve tried e-mailing me in the past, do so again. Sorry about this folks!

Hello ladies and gents, I’m excited to announce that the website is now up and running in full form! Ok, not quite full form, as due to an Oregon trip starting tomorrow I didn’t have the time to post all the content I wanted to. However, the website itself will stay online for all to view.

The “Read” section contains some of my work that you can read for free. As I said above, I didn’t have the time to post everything I wanted to, so in a week or so when I return from my Oregon trip be expecting a lot more goodies in the Read section. Also, I have not yet posted my comments on each individual story/poem/etc. as you will see “Read my comments on such and such.” However, there are still some good things posted in there and you can rate them and leave comments on them! Your comments are always greatly appreciated!

The “Work” section has a list of work I can do for you should you need it, give that a gander if you please.

The “Blog” section is well uh, my new blog.

The “About” section is where I WILL be revealing much about myself and my life story. As I said, many things haven’t been posted

The “Write” section includes details of my upcoming webzine “Into the Void” for which I’m looking for editors.

The “Connect” section has links to join my newsletter and all of my social networking profiles.

The “Links” section has links, excuse me, drop the s, because right now it only links to one website.

Phew, that was exhausting. Alright, I’m out for the night. I’ll try to give an update or two while I’m on my trip, but no promises. While you’re waiting, check out what’s in the Read section and drop me some comments, I would love to hear your thoughts.
